Child Safety

Information on how IMIJS is designed to keep children and families safe while using the app.

Family communication takes place within secure, private family groups.
Children cannot freely communicate with unknown users.
Family messaging is designed to encourage safe communication between approved family members in a controlled environment.

IMIJS is not an internet browser.
Child accounts cannot browse the internet or access public search engines through the platform.
The Discover feature displays information available within the IMIJS platform only and is designed to help families find community events, organisations and activities. It does not provide unrestricted access to external websites or online search services.

Families can discover community events, sports clubs, charities, schools, mosques, organisations and local activities.
Parents remain in control of whether children participate in these activities.

Messaging within IMIJS is permission-based.
Communication is limited to authorised users within families, organisations or approved events.
The platform has not been designed as a public social media network where content is openly shared with everyone.

If inappropriate behaviour is encountered, users can report abuse, harassment, inappropriate content, offensive messages and suspicious behaviour.
Reports are reviewed to help maintain a safe community environment.

IMIJS is committed to protecting user privacy.
Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws, including the UK GDPR where applicable.
Parents remain responsible for information shared by children within family-managed accounts.

Child accounts are created and managed by a parent or legal guardian.
Parents control child permissions and approvals using PIN-protected controls.
Child accounts do not provide unrestricted internet browsing or search engine access.
The Discover feature displays curated content available within the IMIJS platform and is not a web browser.
Family messaging is limited to authorised, closed family groups.
IMIJS is designed to support families, organisations and communities while promoting responsible and safe digital participation.

We believe technology should strengthen families, not replace them.
IMIJS has been designed to help families organise their lives, communicate safely, participate in their communities and create positive experiences together while maintaining appropriate parental oversight.
